Badlands National Park (part 1): Larks

Somehow I have not yet posted any photos from my stop in Badlands NP? To be honest, my time there was a bit less than I had hoped it would be. After adjusting my time in Yellowstone and hitting Grand Tetons a bit earlier, I then bumped up my time in Badlands and unfortunately that coincided with the wildfires in Canada in the spring/summer of 2023, and after a few days in Badlands and not really seeing a ton of stuff (and being frustrated about not being able to find any Burrowing Owls), I cut my time in Badlands even shorter and headed out…

Anyway, while I was there, I did manage to get some decent photos of some Horned Larks (both male and female) and some Western Meadowlarks (they’re the first couple here)…
