Spotted Worm Sea Cucumber

I guess sea cucumbers are not among my favorite sea critters… I’m not sure if I find them boring or ugly or what, but I don’t often photograph them. This particular one is a Spotted Worm Sea Cucumber (Synapta maculata) and I focused on its feeding tentacles and didn’t photograph the whole animal. I’m not sure how long this particular one was, but my ID book says they can grow up to four feet in length, and I’m sure I’ve seen some that long.
