Glacier National Park (part 4): Black Bear

I’m hoping by the time this post goes live, I have a bunch more (and maybe better) bear photos from Yellowstone and Grand Teton NPs, but I figured I’d share this set now. I got a bit lucky with this one – I had done some hiking along the South Boundary Trail of GNP and was on my way back to the cabin when I noticed a car ahead of me stopped. I slowed down and quickly realized why they had stopped. I then spent the next twenty minutes watching this bear munch on whatever it was finding in the grass. I think technically this is outside the park boundaries – honestly I think it is someone’s yard and so I figured I’d include the shot with the warning signs just for fun.
