There were plenty of babies around, which definitely increased the cuteness levels…
Fun fact – baby sea otter fur is so dense that they literally can’t sink and I don’t think they can even intentionally swim down, so it is a safety thing for the babies while mom heads down to grab lunch… she just leaves the baby floating among the tops of the kelp and checks on it each time she comes back from hunting.
