PNW Sea Spiders

OK – going to try switching things up a little bit and I’m going to try posting more recent photos for a while. Since I’m back in the Pacific Northwest, that means a bunch of critters from the chilly waters up here. I might mix some stuff in from the archives, but I’m hoping this gives me a bit more motivation to do this stuff (which has definitely been on a steep decline) and also give folks more current photos.

Today’s set includes a bunch of sea spiders. These guys and girls (since we are guessing that the sacs hanging from some of them might be eggs sacs) tend to be somewhat larger than the ones I find in Florida, but they seem a bit more spindly and skinnier than their tropical brethren.
