I saw several ant mimic spiders while in Jiwa Damai. Unfortunately, I only got photos of these two with the very large mandibles. I’m not sure what function those over-sized mandibles serve, as they don’t really help them to look like ants in my opinion.
There was one any mimic that even took me a while to be able to tell if it was an ant or spider… I even had to resort to testing to see if it would spin some silk, and once it did I knew it was a spider. But as I said, I didn’t get any photos of it.
